About me
Hi, my name is Alex Bell and I am a registered forensic psychologist dedicated to delivering independent, thorough, and evidence-based psychological services within legal and clinical contexts.
My work sits at the intersection of psychology and the law. I specialise in forensic psychological assessments, and evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals navigating the justice system or experiencing various mental health issues.
Expertise
I am an Endorsed Forensic Psychologist holding a Master of Psychology (Forensic), having graduated in 2020. My clinical career spans criminal justice, disability support, and private practice, allowing me to deliver specialised psychological intervention and forensic assessments across diverse client populations. My background includes facilitating sex offending rehabilitation programs with Corrective Services NSW to high risk offenders, as well as providing positive behaviour support and psychology services under the NDIS for individuals with complex needs and disabilities in varied legal and support environments.
As a sole trader, I provide evidence-based therapy to individuals navigating the legal system and conduct comprehensive forensic assessment reports for court and administrative contexts. I am a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPI) and a registered Medicare provider.

Assessment
A psychological assessment is a structured, comprehensive evaluation conducted to understand a person’s cognitive abilities, personality, emotional functioning, behaviour, or legal/functional capacity. Rather than relying on a single test or conversation, it combines multiple pieces of objective and clinical information to answer a specific diagnostic or practical question.
I aim to provide high quality psychological assessments including:
Risk assessments
Pre-sentencing reports
Section 14 assessments
Bail applications
Mental health assessments
Cognitive and intellectual functioning
Treatment and placement recommendations
Note: I currently complete forensic psychological assessments with my colleagues from Forensic Psychologists Pty Ltd
